Peace Mala encourages young people to learn that diversity is to be celebrated and not feared. Bridges of peace can bebuilt between faith communities and diverse cultures when people are prepared to listen to each other. Our world will be a better place when we learn to keep the Golden Rule that all faiths share: “Treat others as you would like them to treat you.”
Each bead on the Peace Mala represents a world religion and its golden rule or peace message for the world. Peace Mala International Awards for Youth are open to all schools, colleges, youth clubs and faith groups who are using Peace Mala to educate their youngsters. The purpose of the awards is to encourage youngsters to explore the objectives of Peace Mala and become aware of and involved with issues of peace, justice, tolerance and friendship.
