What the Map includes .... the Map features Faith & Spiritual Communities in Swansea that have signed a Commitment to Our Environment and share common Citizenship values. All places and projects included share a vision and understanding of how together we can reduce our impact on the environment through simple actions.

Who created the Map?
.... the Map is a partnership project between Interfaith Swansea and Sustainable Swansea. Sustainable Swansea is a project that is led by Swansea Environmental Forum which is an association of organisations, groups and individuals working together to develop and coordinate action for the environment across Swansea. For more information visit: www.sustainableswansea.net.

Why was the Map created?
.... the Faith & Spiritual Communities of Swansea hold a common belief that we all share one planet and have a responsibility to care for, respect and protect it for ourselves and future generations. This Map is a symbolic representation of that shared belief and commitment. It has been two years in the making and was inspired by the local Swansea Green Map project which was produced to help people do their bit to make Swansea a really sustainable place to live, work, and visit. Through simple local actions done together as one human family we can make a huge difference both locally and globally.

How do you get on the Map?
.... we hope that as many Faith & Spiritual Communities as possible will get onto this Map. All you need to do is sign up to a simple shared Commitment to Our Environment and to common Citizenship values. We can all make an individual difference to our environment, but united together in a common purpose we can have a much greater impact in Our Community.

Who funded the Map?
.... the Map was funded by many hours of volunteer time and by grants received from Communities @One and the Faith Communities Capacity Building Fund.
