Interfaith Swansea is a grass roots movement of people from different faith and spiritual communities who are working together to build bridges between people of all faiths & beliefs and none.
We hold regular meetings, public events and undertake a range of projects in the community.
Membership is open to anyone interested in interfaith work who signs our code of conduct and agrees with the aims and objectives –
• To advance public knowledge and mutual understanding of the different faith and spiritual communities living in the City & County of Swansea for public benefit.
• To build bridges between people of all faiths & beliefs, and none, to foster tolerance, respect, friendship and peace and help reduce prejudice and ignorance.
• To work in harmony with other organisations in the community on issues of concern to faith and spiritual groups.
• To be an inspiration and resource for the wider Swansea community.
For more information on our activities and membership, telephone 01792 457880
Interfaith Swansea offers people a chance to become involved in active citizenship through working with people from different faith & spiritual communities for the benefit of the people of Swansea.
To get involved come along to one of our regular interfaith meetings and become a Member or Supporter. You can also become a volunteer on one of our community projects. In the last two years we have undertaken the following activities:
• held public interfaith meetings & events at The Brangwyn Hall and other venues across Swansea;
• produced an interfaith directory, map & website;
• managed a digital media project, involving people of different faiths and none receiving technical training together before creating digital films together for the website.
These activities have been funded by donations and grants received from the Faith Communities Capacity Building Fund andCommunities@One. We have also been well supported by the City & County of Swansea and Swansea Council for Voluntary Service.
